Micah’s Place values our volunteers
Micah’s Place welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and skills to enrich our programs. Our vision is a community without domestic violence so that home is a safe place. We do that by involving our community—you—in our volunteer program. All skill levels are appreciated and all volunteers are considered champions for social change by providing community education.
We offer various volunteer opportunities, including working in both of our Purple Dove Resale Stores, administrative offices, special events & projects, or even the emergency shelter.
Training is available to become an Advocate and work in areas like the emergency shelter, crisis hotline, outreach program, and youth activities for survivors of domestic violence and their children.
To maintain the safety of survivors, there is a in-depth approval process and limited slots available to work directly with survivors.
Certain volunteer positions require background checks and intensive training.
We are unable to accept those seeking community service hours to satisfy a court order.
No matter the role you choose – the time you donate will go on to assure survivors have access to the support they need! YOU can and will make a difference!
