Micah’s Place is looking for the right candidates to staff our growing organization. We are seeking individuals with compassion, strong interpersonal skills, empathy, self-motivation, and willingness to work as a team in our 24-hour emergency shelter. We are currently looking for a night shift advocate (Wednesday – Friday from 5:30 pm-6:00 am) 37.5 hour workweek. Requirement of one staff meeting per month possibly outside of these hours.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with survivors of domestic violence, providing in-depth case management
Provide crisis management via 24-hour hotline and in 24-hour emergency shelter
Maintain a clean and orderly work space
Coordinate community referrals with resources
Preferred:

Experience working with individuals in a crisis setting
Familiarity with local resources and agencies
Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office and database entry
We provide in-depth training to ensure our team is prepared to work with our survivors and ongoing outside training to continually enhance professional growth. The shelter operates 24/7 – flexibility, weekends, and holidays are required.
