Micah’s Place values our volunteers. We offer volunteer opportunities, including working in both of our Purple Dove Resale Stores, time in our administrative offices, or emergency shelter and Hot Line, or special events. Some volunteer positions require background checks and intensive training.

Micah’s Place welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and skills to enrich our programs. Our vision is a community without domestic violence so that home is a safe place. We do that by involving our community—you—in our volunteer program. All skill levels are appreciated and all volunteers are considered champions for social change by providing community education.

Training is available to become an Advocate and work in the areas of outreach support, crisis intervention and safe environments for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

All positions provide training, some may require a background check, and shifts vary.
