Micah's Place would not be able to provide services to survivors of domestic violence
without the generous donations we receive from the community.
FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION
The average stay for a family at our emergency shelter is 12 weeks. Can you imagine leaving a dangerous situation with only the clothes on your back and trying to get your life back together in that amount of time?
Your donation of:
- $1000 provides safety for twenty days
- $500 provides safety for ten days
- $250 provides safety for five days
- $50 provides safety for one day for a family of four which includes shelter, food, clothing, counseling, child assessments, support groups and much more.

IN KIND DONATIONS
If you have gently used furniture, household items, and ladies apparel, they can be offered to victims of domestic violence and their children or sold at the Purple Dove Resale Center, 1002 S. 14th St., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Items can be brought to during store hours Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm or pickups on Tuesdays (only) can be arranged by calling the store at 904-261-5227. All proceeds benefit the many services of Micah's Place.
CELL PHONE DONATIONS
Micah's Place collects used cell phones for distribution to survivors of domestic violence. We gladly accept older model cell phones, and phones without chargers. For your convenience, these fine businesses serve as cell phone collection sites:

Launch a canned food drive.

Ask members of your organization to pick up a gift certificate to donate to Micah's Place at their next grocery store visit.

Challenge everyone you know to pick up one item to donate to Micah's Place every time they visit a market. Paper products are ALWAYS in need.

Having a get-together? A baby shower, luncheon, holiday party, weekly book club? Ask that guests consider a donation to Micah's place instead of a present to the host or membership.
