Annual Campaign donors, volunteers, and advisory council members support Micah's Place in important ways. They were therefore guests at the annual Supporter Appreciation Event held at the Fernandina Beach Women's Club April 16, 2008.
"As You Like It" catering offered delicious hors d'oeuvres to accompany a variety of wines. After a presentation by Executive Director Shandra Riffey, a virtual tour of the Micah's Place emergency shelter and a welcome from Board President Sandy Sproat, guests enjoyed a real treat. Students from West Nassau County High School performed a play that they had written on dating violence. Several guests were moved to tears.
