Each year, Micah's Place hosts an art contest for students 1st through 12th grade. This year's theme was a Future of Peace and over 80 entries were received from schools throughout Nassau County, Florida.
First, second and third places were awarded in four categories: 1st - 3rd, 4th - 6th, 7th - 8th and 9th through 12th. A panel of five local professional artists reviewed each piece and made their selections. The artwork was displayed throughout Nassau County in libraries, restaurants and retail stores.
Thanks to Wal Mart, Chick Fil A and Adventure Island Putt Putt Golf for their generosity in acknowledgingthese young artists' work with terrific gifts.
